THE INTERVIEW ROOM
Beyond the Blackboard is a practical, confidence-building course designed to prepare students aged 15–24 for interviews, applications, and early career success. It begins with a 4-hour, in-person boardroom workshop focused on communication, CVs, and real-world interview techniques. Students then receive three personalised one-to-one coaching sessions — choosing whichever they feel most suitable, from mock interviews to specialist mentoring — led by expert recruiters, professionals, and Oxbridge students.
-
INTERVIEWS
We’ll teach students how to structure their answers using proven techniques like STAR. They’ll learn how to handle difficult questions, speak with confidence, and make a strong first impression. We’ll cover body language, tone, and mindset to help them stay calm under pressure. Most importantly, they’ll get real-time practice with feedback from experienced interviewers.
-
Recruiter led
This course is led by professional recruiters who’ve interviewed hundreds of candidates for graduate schemes, internships, and entry-level roles. They know exactly what top employers are looking for — and what makes a candidate stand out. Students benefit from insider tips, real-world examples, and tailored feedback that goes far beyond textbook advice. It’s the kind of preparation that only comes from those who sit on the other side of the interview table.
-
set for success
Teaching these skills early builds confidence before real interviews begin. It gives students a head start in applying for part-time jobs, apprenticeships, and university places. They learn how to present themselves professionally — a skill they’ll use for life. Most importantly, they enter adulthood prepared, not playing catch-up.
-
coaching
Our one-to-one coaching sessions are tailored to each student’s goals, whether that’s preparing for a law interview, building a standout CV, or practising real interview questions. Working with experienced professionals means every session is focused, practical, and confidence-building. Students get honest feedback, expert guidance, and strategies they can use straight away. It’s personalised support that makes all the difference.
